So it looks like the Sunday Sun were right about Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud all along!

After two weeks of leading their Sunday paper with revelations that Arsenal’s striker had had a 3am romp with glamour model Celia Kay before the match against Crystal Palace, the Gunners striker has taken to Twitter to confess to the crime.

Writing in both French and English, Giroud wrote:

I apologise to my wife, family and friends and my manager, team-mates and Arsenal fans.

I now have to fight for my family and for my club and obtain their forgiveness. Nothing else matters at the moment.
