A few weeks ago, Port Harcourt's First Son, Duncan
Mighty sent out a long letter to media houses, where he accused the
Rivers State government of owing him the whopping sum of N50 million
naira.
But the state government has come out to debunk such claims, labeling the hip hop singer as a serial liar whose words should not be taken seriously.
Reacting to the accusations, the state Commissioner for Information, Ms. Ibim Semenitari told newsmen:
In the letter, he claimed that the government has refused to pay him the balance of N50 million for the project, making artistes he contracted for the event, like Flavour, the defunct Mo’Hits Records crew, Banky W, M.I, Ice Prince, Timaya, DJ Jimmy Jatt, comedians, I Go Die and I Go Save to see him as a traitor, believing he had received the money and refused to pay them.

is absolutely no truth in that allegation. The question perhaps you
should ask Duncan is to tell you exactly when was he contracted; when it
was executed and who contracted him?
It
is unfortunate when some people imagine that they have attained a
status that enables them blackmail others, tell blatant lies and get
away with it.
Without joining issues with Duncan Mighty, I would suggest that you double check on his antecedents and his friendships.
He is a serial liar who is out to blackmail and tarnish the image of Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
Recall that Duncan Mighty
had written an open letter accusing the River State governor of
contracting him to organise a celebrity Youth Endorsement Concert in
Port Harcourt in March 2011, for which he was given N10 million upfront
